Travel Agent Whitley Bay - Ship Visit

Fern and Tracey had an amazing opportunity to go and visit the Holland America Ship Nieuw Statendam when it was in Port Of Tyne this month.

What did they get up to?

It was an amazingly thought out day on the ship visit as the lovely Holland America reps allowed them to explore the ship on their own. They got to see every type of cabin they viewed an inside, oceanview and two different types of verandah. The cabins were really spacious and very modern too and the bathrooms had great amenities that are provided. The pool areas were great too there was an outdoor pool right at the back or the ship and there was an indoor pool where the roof can open up too so you have the best of both worlds. There was plenty of bars and restaurants too that you can experience when on board. You could never be bored!!

What about the food?

Fern and Tracey did get food too! What great hospitality is that!! The ship had organised a set menu for us to try and they were thrill to try the food out. For starter there was the option of Mozzarela Di Buffala or Sesame Crusted Tuna Tataki. For main there was Cornflake Crusted Barramundi, Grilled Lamb Chops with Truffled Polenta or egg Plant Massaman. And for dessert Tres Leche Cake. The food Fern and Tracey had was delicious amd amazing presented, but the cake was just outstanding and so yummy.

Who would the ship suit?

The Nieuw Statendam would suit everyone from couples travelling, families and even clients travelling on their own. The ship has a lovely warm feel that you will get to know others as you travel on the ship. There are kids facilities if you are travelling with children as there are kids clubs and they will love the pools on board.
